SUGG UNIT
PROFIT and SUGG CASE PROFIT are used
to help you maintain your profit structure. Go
back to our previous example of the Price and
Profit Analysis Report. That report knew we wanted
to make a 25% profit on that item because that's
what we have in SUGG UNIT PROFIT. A liquor
store may carry anywhere from 3,000 to 10,000+
items. It would be a monumental task to manually
enter suggested profits for each item. So we provide
you with a program to help you do this accurately
and quickly. Most retailers base their profit
structure upon product type and size. You make
more on imports than domestics. You make more
on smaller sizes than larger sizes. So you can
set up a profit structure based upon product type
and size and that program will very quickly load
the suggested profit into each of your items.
Quick! Easy! And you can immediately reap the
benefits to help you analyze your prices as soon
as you have cost information in your inventory
file. (Remember, cost information gets updated
after you receive a purchase order. And in many
cases, when you decide to purchase Spirits
2000, your costs may very well be part of
a data conversion.)
