| Use the
PRICE MATCH key to match a competitor's
price. Keep in mind, you can password any
key/function at the register. This will
probably be one of them.
Use the PARTIAL CASE key to sell
individual bottles at the case price. For
example, an item sells for $15.99 a bottle.
Sell 2162. The same item sells for
$15.49 a bottle when a case is sold. Sell
case 2162. A customer wants a case but
you only have 3 bottles. You want to give
it to the customer for the case price. Hit
PART CASE. Sell 3 bottles of 2162.
Special messages can be printed on the register
screen and the receipt several different
ways:
1. Attach a message to
an item so that message automatically prints
on the sales screen and the receipt. Sell
6385.
2. If you want your store to have a "discount
personality," use price level 9 as the "comparison"
price. Sell 2177. This item normally
sells for $13.99. Price level 9 has $15.99.
The receipt prints a three line message
(you determine the message) to show the
customer they saved $2.00.
3. Attach a rebate message to an item. Sell
2174. The message causes a rebate receipt
to print. For example, a customer purchases
3 items. One of the items has a rebate attached
to it. They purchase 4 bottles of that item.
The first receipt lists all the items the
customer purchased. You then get 4 smaller
receipts with just the rebate item on it.
Wholesale Orders are used in states
where restaurants and bars purchase alcoholic
beverages from retail liquor stores. Texas
is an example. So actually, we fibbed when
we said you can attach up to 9 price levels
to an item. You can actually attach 61 price
levels! The additional 52 price levels are
used for wholesale orders.
The liquor store needs to maintain several
difference price levels for each item according
to whom they are selling. For example, they
would have a retail price for customers
who walk in off the street. They would have
several difference wholesale prices for
restaurants and bars. A larger wholesale
customer may get a better price than a smaller
wholesale customer. This pricing structure
is set up in the inventory file and each
wholesale customer is designated as being
part of a particular level. |
