Let's
do some typical sales. If you scan a bottle of
liquor or wine, the default price is the price
for a single bottle. Default just means you didn't
have to hit a key at the register to tell it to
select that price. If that bottle is on sale,
the register knows its on sale and selects the
sale price automatically. When you sell items
that normally come packaged in a pack, the default
price is the pack price. For example, a 4 pack
of coolers, a six pack of beer, a twelve pack
of beer. If you take the pack and break it up,
hit the BOTTLE key and then scan it. This
reduces a single can or bottle from inventory
and sells it for the bottle price. Hit the CASE
key and then scan the item. This reduces a case
from inventory and sells it for the case price.
You have a fourth price level available. Hit the
SPECIAL key and then scan the item. We
call it special because you can choose to use
this price level any way you'd like on an item
by item basis. For example, you might sell a warm
case of beer cheaper than a cold case. That gives
you the ability to scan four different price levels
for each item. You can actually assign up to nine
different price levels for each item. In a few
minutes, we'll give some examples of how you might
like to use price levels five through nine.

You can sell multiple quantities of an item. If
the customer is buying two bottles of Seagram's
Gin, type 2, hit ENTER and scan the bottle. If
the customer is buying two cases of Bud, type
2, hit CASE and scan the item.
