These are examples of manual discounts. But perhaps
you want to set up discounts so they are given
automatically. You can create discount codes and
attach the code to a product. When the item is
sold, the discount is given automatically. The
cashier doesn't have to have access to the discount
key. The manager doesn't have to be in the store
to give his approval. The customer doesn't have
to question the cashier to make sure they got
their discount. It's given automatically and the
receipt clearly prints what the customer is saving
as a total and on each individual item!
